Kano Pillars Suspend Technical Adviser, Chief Coach Over Poor Performance

Kano Pillars FC have announced the immediate suspension of their Technical Adviser, Ogenyi Evans, and Chief Coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, following the team’s disappointing run in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The club confirmed the development in an official statement released on Sunday, citing the team’s unsatisfactory results so far.

The Sai Masu Gida have played eight league matches this season, recording only two wins, two draws, and four defeats.

In the interim, former club captain and Assistant Coach, Gambo Muhammad, will take charge of the team alongside Goalkeeper Coach, Suleiman Shuaibu.

They will be supported by Coach Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from the Junior Pillars setup, who joins the technical bench in an ad-hoc capacity pending further directives from management.

The club’s Media and Communications Directorate assured fans that the management remains committed to restoring Kano Pillars to winning ways and urged supporters to continue backing the team through this transition period
