All is now set for the commencement of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2022 phase which will hold at the University of Lagos Sports Center.
The twenty teams in the Male and Female Category are already in town and are raring to go to upstage the defending champions the categories; Kano Pillars and Safety, who are also the league leaders from phase 1 which one as held in Abuja.
Day 1 matches will begin bright and early on Sunday morning in the women category as Rima Queens, who made an excellent debut and are currently second on the league table will play former champion Adorable Angels who are languishing in relegation zone on 9th position while Defender Babes in 3rd position will play 8th place Plateau Peacocks.
League leader and Defending champions Safety Babes are expected to play Kada Queens while Seasider Babes playing at home will clash with experienced and old war horse Imo Grasshoppers.
Fourth place Bendel Dynamos will face 7th place Benue Queens in what will be the last match of the day in the women category.
In the Male Category of the league, defending champion and league leaders Kano Pillars are expected to play Kada Stars while former champion Niger United who are sitting third on the log will play 10th place Police Machine.
Confluence Stars, who are fourth on the league table will play 9th place Benue Buffaloes while 2020 champion and 2nd placed Safety Shooters will play Owena Kings who are 11th on the league table.
Rima Strikers, fifth on the table, will play De Defenders while it will be an interesting Lagos debut as Seasider Boys of Lagos and Tojemarine Academy lock horns in what will be the last match of the day in the male category.
All matches will be streamed live on HFN TV on Facebook and Handball Federation of Nigeria on YouTube.
Meanwhile, there will be a technical meeting for all coaches, team managers, referees and technical officers on Saturday evening inside the the indoor sports hall of the University of Lagos at 8pm.
