South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Kaizer Chiefs have officially secured the signing of promising Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro, bringing an end to weeks of speculation and transfer delays.
The Amakhosi confirmed the arrival of the 22-year-old on Tuesday, expressing delight at adding his talent and energy to the squad.

“We warmly welcome Etiosa into the Kaizer Chiefs family. We’re excited to have him join our journey. His passion, work rate, and dedication will surely add to the team this season and beyond. We look forward to creating unforgettable moments together in the Gold & Black colours of the Glamour Boys. Here’s to new beginnings and the spirit of Amakhosi,” the club said in a statement.
Ighodaro, who last season impressed during a loan spell at SuperSport United, had been on the radar of several PSL clubs following his eye-catching performances.
However, Chiefs moved decisively to land the striker, who has been training with the team in recent weeks while finalizing transfer formalities from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Edo-born forward is the younger brother of Osagouna Ighodaro, the former Enugu Rangers and Raja Casablanca striker who also featured in Europe.
Before moving to South Africa, Etiosa honed his skills at the now-defunct Football College Abuja.
Chiefs are expected to officially unveil the Nigerian attacker in the coming days as they prepare for the new season.
