Just-In: Lagos State FA Cautions Players On Regional League

Technical Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Dotun Coker this afternoon has warned players to stop playing regional/private football leagues that are not endorsed by Nigeria Football Federation, NFF through their state football associations.

Coker while speaking at the 2020/2021 Ikeja DFA League seminar said all the private leagues taking place in Lagos without the approval of divisional league through Lagos FA are illegal.

He said most of the players who are playing the private league are playing at their own risk saying that the state FA would not assist such players when they need arise.

“ Let me say it loud and clear that any player that plays private league without endorsement of state FA or divisional FA doing so at their own risk because state FA would not give any paper or sign any paper if such players get offers outside the country.

“It is better for the players to play in approved league so that it would be easy for them to get clearance from state FA if offers come from Europe or any part of the world,” he said.
