JUST-IN: Abidemi Attributes Crown FC Success To Governor Makinde

Assistant Coach of Crown Football Club of Ogbomosho, Seyi Abidemi has attributed the success of club in Nigeria National League NNL to Oyo State Governor,Seyi Makinde.

Ogbomosho based club are currently second on the table trailing behind league leader, Bendel Insurance FC.Crown garnered nine points while group leader have ten points to top the group table.

Abidemi in a chat with Journalists in Ogbomosho said the performance of Crown FC in the league before it went on break was as a result of total support received from the number one citizen of the state and promised that the club is committed to promote to Nigeria Premier League at the end of the season.

“Before the league started some months ago, nobody gave Crown FC to be in this position.Our success in the league before we went on break was the support we received from the state government.Our players were not owned, well motivated and all the allowancnces were paid as at when due so the players reciprocated by giving their best to occupy second position on the table.

“I am using this opportunity to thank Governor Makinde for his support since we started the league and we are promising the people of Oyo State and Ogbomosho that we will get the qualification ticket at the end of the season.For our fans,we really appreciate them for their unalloyed support given to us and we will continue to work hard and achieve our goal at the end of the season,”he said.

The former Racine coach said he is worried the way league stopped in the country and urged the football authorities to come out with modalities how all various leagues would be played before the season ends.

“Presently there is no clear picture if we would resume the league unless the government give the organisers go ahead.I have been hearing or reading conflict report if the league will continue or not but we are waiting for the organisers for their next action on the league,”he said.
