Jumez In’tl FC coach Hakeem Israel eyes top six finish in 2021 Fusion Football Championship

Jumez International FC picked up their first point of the 2021 Fusion Football Championship following a 1-1 draw with Dannaz FC on Sunday.

Jumez In’tl fell behind in the opening minutes of the game but rallied back to find an equalizer in the second half through Ekene Goodwin.

The game ended 1-1 with neither team able to capitalize on their chances in the closing stages of the intense encounter.

“We thoroughly prepared for this match because of the fact that we lost our first match,” Jumez manager Hakeem Israel told Sports247 after the match.

“We came into this game determined and gave it our all to come out with a result. I am very happy. We played one of the best teams in this competition. I am very happy we are going home with a point.”

Hakeem Israel is targeting a top 6 finish in the 20 teams log and believes his boys are yet to hit full stride.

“We started this competition with the target of being among the top 6 if not the top 8. That’s the target.

“Our team is one of the youngest in this competition if not the youngest. I believe that we are going to get better in subsequent games,” he added.
