Judgement Day Confirmed: Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Gets December Date

The long-rumoured blockbuster showdown between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua has been officially confirmed. Broadcaster Netflix announced that the fight—dubbed “Judgement Day”—will take place on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (12-1) will make a massive leap in competition as he steps into the ring against former unified heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (28-4) in an eight-round professional bout at heavyweight.

While Joshua enters as the naturally bigger man, the bout includes a clause preventing him from weighing more than 245lbs, a mark he has exceeded in each of his last five outings.

Joshua, speaking ahead of his return to the ring, declared:

“Jake or anyone can get this work. No mercy. I took some time out and I’m coming back with a mega show. Whether you like it or not, I’m here to do massive numbers, have big fights and break records.”

Paul, ever confident, fired back with his own bold statement:
“This isn’t an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day. When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears. On December 19, the torch gets passed and Britain’s Goliath gets put to sleep.”

Matchroom chairman Eddie Hearn reacted sharply to the matchup, saying:
“They say be careful what you wish for… Two of the biggest names in the sport will collide. I admire Jake’s courage, but he’s going to find out the hard way in Miami.”
