Liverpool’s latest Nigerian-born whiz-kid, Joshua Abe has popped into the headlines of several media outlets, as transfer interest is reportedly coming his way from The Reds’ English Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Sports247 gathered that, following another stunning performance by Abe at the weekend, talk about a likely exit from Anfield has intensified over the past 24 hours.

Observers are now unanimous in their verdicts that Liverpool will have to work real hard in order to keep their grip on Abe heading into the January transfer window, especially as his father is officially an Arsenal fan.
Abe is highly rated as a very fast left-footed winger, who operates down the right flank, with creative dribbling skills, a very remarkable eye for goals and accurate hot shots.
He recently twinkled at the 2025 Pape U15 Cup in Magdeburg, Germany, where his efforts helped the team from Anfield win the star studded in-door competition.
He scored Liverpool’s last goal in a 3-3 draw with Union Berlin of Germany and converted a penalty in the resultant shoot-out, as the Young Reds won the game 5-3 and took the trophy home.
Abe also played a key role on his England U15 debut, as he started against Turkiye, who The Cubs trounced 8-0; among which the lad scored one and provided an assist.
A technical report by Wyscout noted, “Abe played three games for England, notably completing four out of five dribbles against Portugal, meanwhile he registered an assist in England’s victory against Japan.
“In five games for England’s U15 team, Abe has averaged over 13 dribbles, completing 56% of his attempts, while averaging 1.25 goal contributions per 90 minutes.
“His explosive speed has been on show as well, with Abe averaging over six progressive runs per 90 minutes.”
A profile out of Merseyside revealed, “Abe has been at the club since U9 level and signed his first ever contract at Anfield.
“Almost seven years later, Abe is still making great strides in the academy and undoubtedly his ambition will be to follow in the footsteps of players like Alexander-Arnold by reaching the first team.
