Nigerian-born former Liverpool and Bournemouth of England winger, Jordon Ibe has received a very warm welcome at Lokomotiv Sofia of Bulgaria, where he seeks to put his career back on track.
Sports247 gathered that Ibe’s new deal, which will run for two years, is billed to expire in 2027 but has been rated as a breath of fresh air for the embattled forward.

However, it means the 29-year-old winger, who got a club-record transfer fee of £15m when Bournemouth signed him from Liverpool in 2016, heads into a relegation war in Bulgaria’s top flight.
The once energetic winger, who used to play in front of capacity crowds at Anfield and got close to an England invitation, will also have to be like big fish in a small pond at a side with less than 1,000 fans per game.
Ibe, who disclosed in 2021 that he suffered depression for four years, has only played 11 minutes of professional football, for Derby County and Ebbsfleet United, since his contract expired at Bournemouth in 2020.
After a few difficult seasons, particularly the current one that he started with a lowly club in England’s eighth tier league, Jordon is now eager to revive his career in Sofia.
Hope for his revival was boosted by the club’s welcome message, which stated in part: “The management of Lokomotiv wishes Jordon Ibe much health, happiness and success with the red and black jersey.”
