Nasarawa United claimed massive maximum points on the road after a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Abia Warriors, overturning a first-half deficit in an entertaining encounter with Jofrank Istifanus scoring the decisive goal in Umuahia.
Abia Warriors took the lead just before the break when Obioma Chukwuemeka produced a moment of quality in the 43rd minute, finishing calmly to give the hosts a 1–0 advantage heading into halftime.
