Jamilu Collins Catches Stuttgart’s Transfer Interest

SC Pardeborn of Germany defender, Jamilu Collins could take after ex-international, Jonathan Akpoborie as the next Nigerian to play for VfB Stuttgart of Germany, following interest in his signature by the top-flight club.

Sports247.ng gathered that Collins has attracted keen interest for a possible January deal from Stuttgart after his recent top showing with Paderborn in the German 2 Bundesliga and for the Super Eagles.

However, Paderborn are not ready to let Collins go on the cheap, and a deal would only be possible if Stuttgart are able to match the price tag the second-tier German club have now placed on the youngster.

Paderborn, though, hold the ace for Collins’ transfer as he is tied to them till the summer of 2021, but a fee in the region of €6m should be enough to tempt them into parting ways with the fast-rising defender.

Stuttgart are keen on signing the 24-year-old, who is now the first left back for the Eagles, but further reports indicate they would loan him back to Paderborn for the rest of the season.

VFB’s scouts watched Collins back in action against Holstein Kiel, in which the former youth international impressed after shaking off the knock he picked in their penultimate game against MSV Duisburg.
