Jagaban Cup: Messiah Manager Eyes Final Ticket

Messiah FC team manager, Deji Beecroft says he is optimistic that his team would top the group A and qualify for the final of the Jagaban Cup which kicked off yesterday at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

Messiah who lost their opening match against 36 Lion bounced back early this morning by defeating Badagry United 4-0 to clinch three points.

Messiah need to win De Potters FC and MFM in their remaining two matches to brighten their chances of topping the group.

Beecroft boasted that his team cannot lose their remaining matches and charged the coaching crew and the players to remain focus in their next game.

“It was a good match for us and I want to commend the head coach, Tunde Olayinka and the players for their determination exhibited against Badagry United.If we continue like this, we are unstoppable and we may top our group at the end of the day,”he said.

Badagry United Director, Musa Danladi said they came to the competition to give his players needed exposure but remained optimistic that his boys would do well in their remaining two matches.
Daniel Kids scored opening goal for Messiah in the 22 minutes. Taiwo Quadri strikes the ball into the net to make it second goal for Messiah in the 40th minutes.

Kunle Oladipe and Deji Alo scored in the early second half to confirm their supremacy over their opponents.

In other results,Olukismet played goalless draw with FC Bethel.
