Iwobi Nominated For Arsenal Best Player Award

Arsenal of England attacker, Alex Iwobi is among nominees for the London club’s player of the month, November.

 

 

Sports247.ng learnt that Iwobi is listed for the award alongside Lucas Torreira of Uruguay, Bernd Leno of Germany and England former youth international, Rob Holding.

 

 

Iwobi has been key to Arsenal’s unbeaten run since August and featured in all games played by the club in November.

 

Though rested for Thursday’s game in Ukraine, Iwobi went the distance against Sporting Lisbon of Portugal in the Europa League.

He also started against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth in the English Premier League, with his only appearance as a substitute in the fixture against Liverpool on November 3.

During the month in review, Iwobi provided an assist for Alex Lacazette in a 1-1 draw against Liverpool and was involved in the winner by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang last weekend away to Bournemouth.

Iwobi will, however, have to see off keep potentials from Torreira, who led the poll with 55 per cent of votes as at Thursday afternoon, while Leno had 35, Holding six and the Super Eagles’ star only four per cent.
