Iwobi, who will be featuring in his fourth AFCON tournament, has previously returned with a bronze medal from the 2019 edition and a silver from the 2023 finals in Ivory Coast.
As the countdown to the 2025 competition winds down, the Fulham star believes the current Super Eagles squad has the quality and mentality to secure Nigeria’s fourth African title.
Speaking during the AFCON trophy diaspora tour in London—an event headlined by Alex Song, Stonebwoy, and Odumodublvck—the former FA Cup winner told AY Suga that he is fully manifesting Nigeria’s success in Morocco.
“The last AFCON, we were really close, but the only way we can improve from that is to win the next one,” Iwobi said.
“We’ve got the players, we believe we can do it, and we just have to prove it. I want to speak it into existence—I’d like to say Nigeria will win it.”
Nigeria will compete in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda.
The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against Tanzania at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
