Sports247 reports that the 29-year-old former Arsenal and Everton of England midfield dazzler left mouths agape when he side-stepped home from distance in Fulham’s 2-1 win at Craven Cottage to sink Spurs further down the table.

While Arsenal fans are happy he helped them keep their North London rivals, Tottenham, further apart, the British media tagged it ‘a worldie’ scored by Iwobi, after a one-two combination with Harry Wilson, and the Super Eagles’ in-form playmaker admitted it was ‘unique.’

Even Fulham’s coach, Marco Silva reacted with glee, as the Spanish gaffer gave a ‘hip, hip hooray’ and admitted afterwards he was happy seeing The Cottagers move to within three points of seventh-placed Brentford.

Iwobi excitedly declared: “Unique – that’s the best way to put it. I don’t think anyone has groins to open up their hip and side-foot it like that. When H passes to me I had one thought to side-foot it.”
