‘It’s Beautiful to Face Liverpool!’ Osimhen Fired Up for Champions League Clash

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has described it as “beautiful” to face Liverpool as Galatasaray prepare for their first-leg clash in the UEFA Champions League.

The Nigerian forward spoke ahead of tonight’s highly anticipated encounter, acknowledging the strength and pedigree of the English side but expressing confidence that Galatasaray can take advantage of playing the first leg at home.

“It’s always beautiful to play against a team like Liverpool,” Osimhen said.

The striker admitted that the match will be difficult, given Liverpool’s quality and experience in European competitions.

“We know it won’t be an easy game because Liverpool are a very strong team,” he added.

Despite the challenge, Osimhen believes Galatasaray have a significant advantage with the first leg being played in front of their home supporters.

“We have the home advantage in the first leg and that is something we must use to our benefit,” he explained.

The Nigerian international also called on the Galatasaray faithful to turn out in large numbers to support the team during the crucial fixture.

“I want the fans to come out in their numbers because their support will be very important for us,” he said.

According to Osimhen, the team’s objective is to secure a positive result before travelling for the second leg next week.
“We will try to get a good result in the first leg before going into the return match,” he noted.

Osimhen has been one of Galatasaray’s most influential players this season, contributing important goals and performances in both domestic and European competitions.

With the Champions League knockout stages approaching, the Nigerian striker believes discipline and teamwork will be crucial for the Turkish side.

“If we stay focused and work as a team, we can achieve something special,” he concluded.
