Though she served as a backup throughout the tournament, Rachael’s role in the squad environment contributed to team unity and readiness.

“It’s a true privilege and honour to wear the green badge and represent Nigeria at the prestigious Women’s Africa Cup of Nations,” she said. “Being part of the squad, training with top professionals, and learning every day was a big moment in my career.”

Her comments highlight the importance of squad depth and the value of every player, whether on the pitch or off it. Rachael’s presence and professionalism earned praise within the team setup, reflecting her growth at the club level with Nasarawa Amazons.

With continued development and exposure, the young goalkeeper will be aiming for more active roles in future national team assignments.
