Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) two-time middleweight title holder, Israel Adesanya has given a strange condition for him to be part of a proposed Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) show at USA’s White House.
Sports247 reports that, while admitting he would love to be part of the historic event tentatively fixed for June 14, ‘The Last Style Bender’ declared that the spectators should include ‘common people.’

In furthering a view that the biggest followers of MMA are people on the streets, Adesanya, who fights under the flag of New Zealand opined that it would be out of place to have only white-collar spectators in the stands.
He conceded that he will not reject the UFC White House offer if he gets one, considering that the bill, which has already been endorsed by US president, Donald Trump, is regarded as the biggest show in UFC’s history.
It would equally be a huge opportunity for Adesanya, who is currently sixth in the UFC’s middleweight rankings, to get a contest against current middleweight champion, Khamzat Chimaev.
However, the Nigerian-born fighter, who will return to The Octagon in a challenge contest on March 28 in Seattle, USA, stressed that he would fight at the White House only if ‘real MMA fans’ are allowed to enter the South Lawn.
Adesanya added on The Ariel Helwani Show: “I wouldn’t say no, but I hope there are some fans there – like actual MMA fans.
“I don’t really want to fight in front of a bunch of suits who don’t really care about MMA. I want fans to be able to go to the fight and watch the show as well. Yeah, I wouldn’t say no.”
