In a celebratory atmosphere following a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Allstars International Veterans Football Club of Surulere, the newly elected President of Island All Stars Sports Club, Okeke Kenneth, has reaffirmed the club’s commitment to unity, development, and excellence under his leadership.
The friendly match, held at the Lagos Business School pitch on Saturday, marked the first outing under Okeke’s administration—one that began on a winning note.

“This is our home turf, and we’ve never lost a game here,” Kenneth proudly declared in an exclusive chat with Sports247. “We do great things, like you witnessed today. And we will continue to do great things.”
The victory, though in a friendly setting, symbolized a promising start for the 6th president of the club. But beyond the result, Okeke Kenneth shared a broader vision for his tenure.
“What we’re looking forward to doing is to unite the club and break new frontiers—for development, welfare, and the oneness of all our members,” he said.
The Island All Stars Sports Club, known for its camaraderie among professionals, former footballers, and sports enthusiasts, has built a culture of competitiveness and solidarity. Kenneth emphasized that his administration will continue to focus on impacting the lives of members positively—both on and off the pitch.
“This is our community,” he said. “We will continue to have a positive impact on the lives of every member of Island All Stars, and even beyond—to the government and communities around us.”
Kenneth’s leadership message echoes the club’s mantra: “Together, we do great things.” As his administration gets underway, Island All Stars appear poised to maintain their winning spirit and grow their legacy as a model veterans football club in Nigeria.
