Isaac Success FC, Dinamo Academica Battle For Kators Cup Top Prize

The stage is now set for the final match of the maiden edition of the Kators cup football tournament for Youth teams in Edo state.

The week-long soccer carnival which kicked off May 14, will come to a climax on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 at the western boys’ high school Sports complex, Ikpoba hill Benin city with two top teams Isaac success Football club and Dinamo Academica battling for the coveted trophy

Isaac success football club owned by Watford and Super Eagles striker Isaac Success defeated tournament favourite Shooting Arrow Fc 5-4 on Penalties after scores at the regulation time stood at 1-1, while Dinamo Academica edged Rolly Fc 4-3 via penalties after a goalless draw at full time.

Cup donor and sponsor, USA-based football administrator and scout, Osaigie Christopher Ekhator said, he is satisfied with what he has seen in the last week of football action in Benin city, adding that some talents have been identifying good enough to play outside the shores of Nigeria.

” am happy to be part of this, and I must admit I have enjoyed watching these young boys since the start of the tournament, myself and friends have identified some talents good enough to earn deals abroad and that is my mission.

” I want to commend my friends who put up a good organization to ensure the success of this tournament including those who have supported the program and the fans, I also want to thank the Edo state government for providing the facility for us to engage these youth, we shall expand the tournament next year Ekhator stated.

Ekhator who is an ex-footballer used the opportunity to thank Ballpoint Energy limited which has decided to partner with Kators football tournament in its bid to continue its investment in the developmental enhancement of young talents in Nigeria.

Shooting Arrow FC will slug it out with Rolly FC for the losers final on Sunday by 1 pm. According to the organizing committee chairman Joseph Isokpehi, cash prizes, medals, individual awards, and tournament souvenirs will be given out to the winners in Sunday’s closing ceremony by 3 pm.
