International Players for Mindgames Scrabble Championship Grand Finale

International players from Ghana,  Gambia and Sierra Leone have confirmed  their participation at the third Mindgames Scrabble Championship Grand Finale taking place at the Lagos Country Club in Lagos from November 8-10.
The MPC Grand Finale is arguably the biggest championship for both chess and scrabble in the country.
Aba Hydara who represented Gambia at the last edition last year,   has indicated interest to be the event which has continually been  raising the bar in organising internarional tournaments.
Interestingly, the Medical Doctor had informed MGI Media at the last edition of his willingness to feature  due to it’s competitive and organisational standards.
“It’s a great feeling playing among the best players across the world” he  confessed, ” when you play in  Nigeria which is the hub of scrabble in the world,  the experience you get will make me come again for the next one” he concluded.
Also making a return is the Liberian contigent whose first major international championship  is MPC Grand Finale.
Ghana based Stanley Ubiedi has also confirmed his presence at the championship.
More international players are still being expected to indicate their interest at the event which has grown in leaps and bounds.
The MPC Grand Finale is the climax for the MPC season where players earn their passage to the showpiece at the Lagos, Abuja,  Kano and Port-Harcourt qualifiers.
Over three million naira will be on offer with top winners in the chess and the scrabble events guaranteed a cash prize of 600,000 naira each.
At the last edition,  Abdulrahman Akintoye won the chess event  while Eta Karo claimed the title of the Scrabble event.
