Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is expected to return to action for Pisa next Sunday after spending three weeks on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
The 21-year-old sustained the setback on November 7 during Pisa’s Serie A clash against Cremonese at the Arena Garibaldi.

He started the encounter but was forced off in the 68th minute following a heavy challenge.
The injury ruled him out of consideration for a potential Super Eagles call-up during the CAF World Cup playoffs, where he had reportedly been under close monitoring by the national team handlers.
He has also missed Pisa’s last two league fixtures.
However, fresh reports indicate that the midfielder is close to full recovery, with Inter Xtra revealing that he is expected to be available for selection on December 8, when Pisa face Parma in the Serie A.
Akinsanmiro, who is on loan from Inter Milan, has impressed this season with his energy, physicality and technical awareness—qualities that have earned him praise from Pisa head coach Alberto Gilardino.
Given Nigeria’s limited depth in central midfield, the youngster’s profile may be just be a surprise inclusion in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations if he proves his fitness.
Although he has not featured in the past month, his strong start to the season could work in his favour.
Regardless of whether he makes the AFCON squad, Akinsanmiro remains one of Nigeria’s promising midfield prospects, tipped to become a regular in the coming years
