“I’m a Better Shooter Than Header” — Adesola Toheeb Fires Brace to Inspire Rakel FA Victory

Rakel FA forward Adesola Toheeb delivered a match-winning performance at the ongoing Femmco Football Championship August Camping 2026, scoring twice to lead his side to a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Radiance FA in the U-15 Boys’ group stage at the NUD Playing Ground, Olose, Ifo, Ogun State.

Toheeb’s brace secured all three points for Rakel FA in a competitive encounter, with the young attacker particularly impressing with his finishing ability and composure in front of goal.

Speaking exclusively to Sports247 after the match, Toheeb admitted that the victory was important, but warned that Rakel FA must raise their performance level ahead of their next fixture.

“I feel better and more because our next match will be hard for us. We will have to put in more effort,” he said.

The youngster’s second goal came in the dying moments of the contest to seal the victory, showcasing his ability to remain focused until the final whistle.

However, Toheeb insists his biggest strength lies not necessarily in aerial play but in his ability to shoot, take penalties and attempt efforts from distance.

“I’m not too satisfied with heading the ball. I’m actually more pleased with my shooting, playing penalties and shooting from outside the box,” he revealed.

Reflecting on his late goal, he explained that he simply moved into the penalty area and backed himself to find the net.

Beyond the Femmco Championship, Toheeb already has international ambitions. Interestingly, when asked whether he would consider representing another country if the opportunity arose, he selected Germany, explaining that he likes the country and its weather.

His football inspiration is Chelsea and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernández, whom he admires for his attitude, technical quality and leadership on the pitch.

“Because of his attitude on the pitch, his performance with the ball. When he’s on the pitch, he coordinates his team and teammates,” Toheeb explained.

Despite identifying himself as a Chelsea supporter, Toheeb revealed that he would not hesitate to accept an offer from Arsenal, one of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals.

His reasoning was refreshingly straightforward:

“It is better than not having a team.”

For now, Toheeb’s immediate focus remains on helping Rakel FA progress through the Femmco Championship. With two goals already to his name, the young forward has made his intentions clear—he wants to keep shooting, keep scoring and keep improving.
