The renowned prophet had a chance meeting with the former Super Eagles player and voiced his admiration for the General during his playing days.

”I am really happy to meet someone I grew up watching on television playing for the super Eagles of Nigeria. I am aware that he is the new Anambra FA Chairman. I believe it will be a plus for our state to have someone who has played the game at the highest level taking charge of proceedings. The future is bright for football in our state.”

”We spoke about football development at the grassroot in our state in our brief conversation here at the airport. I am buying into that vision and in the coming weeks I will initiate a football program that will help youth of my community and will get the necessary support from my FA Chairman and football stakeholders in our state. It will be big.”

The FA Chairman, commended Prophet Odumeje for his community service in the state and beyond as he called on other well meaning Anambrarians to key into his grassroot developmental football programs.

”This is what we want in our state. We want private individuals and cooperate organization to see what they can achieve through football. My administration will be eager to partner with these institutions to realize our state football development at the grassroot. With my coming to power, naturally many well meaning Anambrarians will key into football development. I encourage others to emulate Odumeje in taking our youth off the streets amid rising insecurities in the Southeast.”
