Nigerian midfielder Ikenna Ferdinand has returned to Bulgarian side Levski Sofia following the conclusion of his loan spell with Ukrainian club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih.
The 22-year-old joined Kryvbas on loan in early 2025 with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Despite featuring in seven Ukrainian Premier League matches, Kryvbas opted not to activate the purchase clause.
Ferdinand, a former Nigeria U17 international, initially signed for Levski Sofia in 2024 from Croatian side NK Dubrava. He made 11 league appearances for the Bulgarian club before being sent out on loan.
With his return to Levski, Ferdinand is expected to join the team’s preseason preparations as the coaching staff evaluates his future role within the squad. A decision on whether he will remain at Levski for the 2025–26 campaign or be sent out on another loan is yet to be made.
Ferdinand’s time in Ukraine showcased his defensive abilities, but his future now hinges on Levski’s midfield plans for the upcoming season.
