Ighalo puts CAF snub behind to celebrate Orphanage anniversary

Odion Ighalo after his exploit in the Just concluded AFCON 2019 winning the Competition golden boot with 7 goals to his name was included in the CAF award player of the year nominees with the likes of Egypt’s Mohammed Salah, Senegal’s Sadio Mane, Algeria’s Captain, Riyad Mahrez and many others.

The Ex- Nigeria Striker was dropped failing to make the three-man shortlist and that as in no way stopped Ighalo from celebrating his orphanage’s second year anniversary which came into the establishment by the striker’s Philanthropic act, his rise to stardom and the drive to give life to the powerless.

“It feels good spending quality time with the kids at Chosen Orphanage home, this means so much to me, I didn’t have all while growing up and here I am today, I want to give back to this young ones, I want to give hope to the hopeless”, Ighalo affirms.

The Shanghai striker also visited his people in Ajegunle saying ” It feels good to go back to where it all started, the state I grew “, he revealed.
