IGHALO NETS A BRACE AS SUPER EAGLES MOVES TO TOP OF THE GROUP AFTER 5 GOALS THRILLER

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved to top the group after winning against Libya in the return leg fixture of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Tunisia.

The game which was played at the Taïeb M’hiri Stadium in Sfax, saw the Super Eagles race to a two goal early lead before the Mediterranean Knights of Libya reduced the deficit before halftime.

The Libyans continued to press in the second half until their effort paid off, when Ahmad Benali pulled the Mediterranean Knights level to make the game 2 a piece before Ighalo scored a late goal for Nigeria in the dying moments of the game to give Nigeria all three points to take the Super Eagles to the top of group E.

Nigeria Will play against South Africa on the 15th of November in a game that could ensure qualification for the 2019 AFCON.
