IFFHS: Nigeria’s Goalkeeper Named Among The Best African Players Of The Decade

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS), have released the names of the players who they believe shone the most in the last decade from 2011-2020 to constitute the African Decade XI.

The list comprises one player each from Nigeria, Morocco, Ghana, Algeria and Gabon with two players each from Ivory coast, Egypt, and Senegal.

According to IFFHS, these players were selected after reviewing their performances in both their club and country with a detailed impact of the player’s statistics on their club.

Below is the full list of players who made the African XI of IFFHS:

Goalkeeper: Vincent Enyeama

Defenders : Eric Bailly, Kalidou Koulibaly, Medhi Benatia & Ahmed Fathi

Midfielders: Riyad Mahrez, Andre Ayew & Yaya Toure

Attackers: Sadio Mane, Aubameyang & Mohammed Salah
