This year’s theme: “Leveling the Playing Field: Sports For Social Inclusion”, is set aside to recognize the role of sports in human development, community cohesion, and to continuously celebrating outstanding performers on and off the field.

Speaking at the event, the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Fatodu represented by the Director, School Sports, Oluyomi Oluwasanmi, noted that the deliberations amongst the students are to simulate the United Nations Assembly, adding that it will teach them confidence, leadership, comportment, and ability to be able to speak publicly.

Fatodu stressed that apart from the debate, the students will take part in sporting activities – which reflect the three domains of educational objectives that can bring about all round development of a total child.

Chief Executive Officer, Camel Academy, Ndidi Edeoghon, said the idea is to have Sports and Leadership combined with discipline, bringing Public and Private Schools together to have healthy debate.
