ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers: Nigeria Defeat Malawi To Qualify For Today’s Final

The Nigeria U19 men’s team will face Team Kenya in the final of ongoing ICC U19 World Cup Africa Division 2 qualifiers after interesting outings by both countries in their respective semifinal games on Friday.

Nigeria won the toss and elected to bat and were able to score 258 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 49 overs while Team Malawi scored 33 runs to 10 wickets loss in 12.5 overs as Team Nigeria won by 225 runs.

Meanwhile, Team Kenya defeated Team Sierra Leone to set up a final showdown against Nigeria’s Young Yellow Greens.

Both Nigeria and Kenya have now qualified to the finals of the ICC Africa Division 1 Finals next year. They will be joined by the winner of the playoff game between Team Sierra Leone and Team Malawi.

The final will be played on Saturday(tomorrow) at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Package B in Abuja – Namibia, Uganda and Tanzania in the next phase of qualification next year.
