Osuji’s powerful header from a corner kick broke the deadlock in the 80th minute, followed shortly by Uwah’s goal in the 82nd minute, assisted by Osuji.

This victory comes on the heels of Ibom Angels FC’s initial loss to Unical Malabresses in their opening match.

With this win, the team has redeemed themselves and advanced to the semifinals of the competition.

Looking ahead, Ibom Angels FC will face either Imo Strikers FC or Pelican Stars FC in the semifinals after a well-deserved break.

Coach Edwin Okon expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, particularly in the second game, and emphasized the need for continuous improvement in subsequent matches.

“It’s a new team, not yet ripe for anything. By God’s grace, we’re in the semifinals, and I thank God for the position we’ve found ourselves in,” said Coach Okon.

“We’ve shown improvement in our last game over the first, and we’re targeting further improvement in our next game.”

As Ibom Angels FC prepares for the next stage of the competition, fans eagerly anticipate more thrilling performances from the Orange Ladies as they strive for success in the First Lady’s female football tournament.
