I spend more time in Nigeria – Rohr

Nigeria national team technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has indicated that he spent more time in the Nigeria than in any part of the world in the last three years.

The Franco-German tactician while chatting with journalists via instagram said he only visits the super eagles players based in Europe when it is necessary.

‘Since three years, I have been in Nigeria. Most of my time I spend in Nigeria already but when I have to go see my players, they are all in Europe only one in Nigeria, that is the third goal keeper, I have to see, to meet the players, their club coaches, to see their matches, communicate with them. All the time I did it, I returned back to Nigeria. I spent most of my time in Nigeria’.

This disclosure is coming after NFF president, Amaju Pinnick came out during the week to say that the tactician must adhere to stay in Nigeria more amidst other terms for him to earn a new contract with the NFF.

When asked about the contract, Rohr said it is not his philosophy to speak about contractual issues in public.

‘My philosophy is not to speak publicly about these things, my philosophy has always been not to speak about this contractual, confidential things, it is even written in my contract not to speak about these things’.

There had been questions on the terms laid down by the NFF to award Gernot Rohr another contract to remain as the technical adviser of the super eagles of Nigeria.
