Nigerian quarter-miler Samuel Ogazi has expressed his delight after claiming the NCAA 400m indoor title, a victory that also saw him set a Nigerian record and a season-leading time of 44.57 seconds.
Ogazi said he went into the race with strong belief in his ability and was determined to prove himself on the track.

“I knew I was better than the rest of the field, and I just had to prove it,” Ogazi said.

“I usually get nervous during indoor events, but I spoke to myself and changed that this time,” he added.
