The defeat will therefore raise further questions about Galatasaray’s attacking depth and their ability to cope when their star striker is unavailable.
For Osimhen, the priority will now be to recover fully from his injury and return to action as soon as possible. Galatasaray will hope his recovery is swift, considering the important domestic and European fixtures ahead.
The Nigerian forward’s fitness will also be closely monitored by the Super Eagles, given his importance to Nigeria’s plans for upcoming international commitments.
