Christian Obi, the head coach of Heartland FC, has offered his perspective on the decision by the club’s management to slash player salaries.

“They have to sit up,” Obi asserted, referring to the players. “They are sitting with people who are very comfortable and careless, so they have to sit up.
But when they start doing well, then we may now relax the measure. And I believe it will spur them to action.”
