Heart of Lions Football Academy of Igando has released details of a busy schedule that the team will embark on, heading into the resumption of schools in Lagos State on September 14th, Sports247 reports.
The busy schedule, as outlined by the team’s founder and coach, Afeez Afeez revealed that two categories of the squad will be involved in matches of a major competition this weekend, while plans are also on towards a four day camp next week in Ogun State.

Coach Afeez disclosed that the squad will also be part of a youth development project from 10am next week Thursday at Kasali Qudus Community, while another set of their players are billed to travel same day to Ogun State for a summer camp.
The soft-spoken gaffer further disclosed that his under-10 and under-15 squads are already in the finals of Egan LCDA Summer Champions Cup at a date yet to be announced by the organisers.
While awaiting the date for both finals, Coach Afeez is also excited that his senior team will this Sunday play against Igando/Ikotun LCDA Selected, while Sammy Football Academy are set to take on Crusaders FC in potentially explosive matches.
He concluded by shedding light of aims and objectives of next week’s camping spree in Ogun State, which he revealed is for male and female players in the squad, with a long line of activities already lined up from Thursday to Sunday.
“The major aim of this summer camp is to teach the children endurance skills and give them the needed experience of what they will face in Europe, regarding top standards in out of station rules and challenges.
“We are preparing them for future demands that both male and female players will face later in life. So, all categories of players in Heart Of Lions Football Academy and newcomers will get the opportunity to taste and experience what professional football is like.
“We already have 22 players for the trip. We will take care of the transportation, feeding and accomodation for all the players who will travel along with us to Ogun State.
“This summer camping programme will also help our players gain more exposure about life and add to their profiles, as they continue growing in football. May Almighty continue to strengthen everyone and protect us. Amen,” Coach Afeez concluded.
