Reflecting on the team’s performance at the recent tournament in Egypt, Salami commended the squad’s growth and tactical maturity, particularly highlighting the collective discipline displayed by the young players. He expressed optimism about the team’s evolution and emphasized their potential for future success.

“The team was a young team and I think this time compared to the last nation’s cup, tactically the boys were more concentrated and more disciplined collectively. And they gave a very good fight,” Salami remarked.

Salami emphasized the significance of building a youthful squad for the future, noting the positive strides made by the team with each competition. Despite encountering challenges, Salami expressed satisfaction with the team’s overall performance and acknowledged the support and happiness of Nigerians following their success.

“I think we are heading somewhere, we lost two matches, we won four. So we got into the finals and we won the finals against Cameroon, so the tournament was okay for me, and I think Nigerians were happy for the boys,” Salami stated.

With a blend of youthful vigor and tactical prowess, Salami and his coaching staff are optimistic about the team’s prospects at the upcoming African Games. As they aim to build on their recent triumph and continue their upward trajectory, The Golden Arrows remain steadfast in their pursuit of glory on the continental stage.
