Today marks a year since Chineme Martins left this world…
He died on the pitch while playing for Nasarawa United against Katsina United.
Have there been any changes in the NPFL medical system?
Though no death has occurred since then constant questions about teams upgrading medical equipment to global standards keep suffering as teams complain of lack of funds.
Surprisingly, LMC/ Nasarawa united is yet to immortalize him _ he sacrificed his life for a poor medical system then and it looks like he has totally been forgotten…He slumped and later died.
Unfortunately, there was no ambulance and first aid team to give him first-hand treatment.
Let’s consciously remind our administrators that the health and welfare of these players in the NPFL is Paramount and it should not be compromised…
