Nigeria Gymnastic Federation (NGF) technical director, Tony Asuquo has disclosed that the body will be out to discover new talents during the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja.
Following the official opening ceremony at Abuja National Stadium on Thursday, Asuquo told sports247.ng that the gymnastics federation’s technical buffs will be in the FCT to spot talents.
Asuquo added that the attention of the technical committee members will be on how to hunt for talents who will be participating from various states across the country.
He added that the gymnastics body’s board has given the committee a mandate to get future heroes and heroines for the country, as they are not interested in supporting any particular state to win.
Asuquo added: “We will be at the National Sports Festival to spot fresh talents. We will not support any state.
“Our main concern is to get good gymnasts at the end of the day who will bring laurels to the country in international events in the future.”
