KIDZ Club Kano, in collaboration with the Kano State Gymnastics Association, is set to organize a one-day school-level gymnastics grading competition aimed at discovering and nurturing young talents across the state.
The competition has been divided into two categories, Group A and Group B.
Group A will feature gymnasts competing from Pre-Level to Level 1, while Group B will consist of participants from Level 2 to Level 3.
According to the organizers, the event will take place at the St. Louis Multi-Purpose Hall, Bompai, Kano.
Group A competitions are scheduled to run from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., while Group B events will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Schools expected to participate in the competition include Lebanese Consulate International School Kano (LCISK), French School Kano, Beacon Hill Academy Kano, Northbury British School Kano, Asha International School, and Government Secondary School Darmanawa, Tarauni.
Speaking ahead of the event, Kano State Gymnastics Coach, David Amkpiya, said the competition is designed to identify and develop gymnastics talents from the grassroots level.
He noted that the initiative would provide young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their abilities while promoting the growth of gymnastics among school children in Kano State.
The competition is expected to attract students, coaches, parents, and sports enthusiasts from across the state.
