Grace Saliu Crowned NWFL Player of the Month for March

Grace Saliu has been voted Player of the Month for March in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, emerging as the clear fan favourite after a series of standout performances.

The Rivers Angels forward secured a commanding 632 votes to clinch the top spot, finishing ahead of strong contenders including Atume Doosuur of Edo Queens, who polled 389 votes, and Mirian Okocha of Ibom Angels, who garnered 359 votes.

Saliu’s recognition comes on the back of an impressive month in which she scored three crucial goals and consistently led the attacking line with confidence and composure.

Her ability to deliver in key moments proved decisive, helping Rivers Angels maintain strong momentum during the period under review.

Trailing behind the top three were Jacklin Oyinyechi of Delta Queens with 172 votes, and Mary Lucky of Ahudiyannem Queens, who received 142 votes.

The voting process reflected the highly competitive nature of the league, with several players delivering match-winning performances throughout March.

However, Saliu’s all-round influence, consistency, and attacking impact ultimately set her apart from the rest of the field.

Her emergence as Player of the Month underscores her growing importance to Rivers Angels and highlights her status as one of the standout performers in the NWFL this season.

As the campaign progresses, Saliu will be looking to build on this recognition, with expectations rising around her ability to continue delivering decisive performances for her club.
