The 2020 Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament Organizing Committee chairman Badawiy Bashir has assured that Port Harcourt will host the most memorable pre-tournament in Nigeria.
The first whistle at the competition will be blown 10 days from today and with the draw for the tournament set for November 5, the Organizing Committee chair has reported good preparations for a mind-blowing competition.
Badawiy said, “Preparations are going well as planned. From the onset, there have been daily meetings between the Organising Committee and the Rivers State Sports Ministry to meet the timelines.”
“The number of days that the competition would take place promises moments of exciting football at this year’s Governor Wike Pre Season Tournament.”
Badawiy thanked Governor Nyesom Wike for his financial and moral support in ensuring that this year’s event becomes a reality.

The COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly followed during the second edition of the Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney.
The Governor Wike Pre Season Tourney will kickoff on November 6, 2020, with Enyimba, Abia Warriors, Rivers United, Plateau United, Vandrezzer, Kwara United, Nasarawa United, Akwa United, MFM FC, Niger Tornadoes, Gombe United, Bayelsa United, Bendel Insurance, Goddosky FC and Cynosure FC expected to grace the event.
The venue of the tournament is Sharks Stadium.
