Beyond Limits Football Academy began their Gothia Cup 2025 campaign in emphatic fashion, thrashing Swedish side BK Häcken 9–0 in their Group Stage opener on Monday.
Played over two 30-minute halves in accordance with the tournament format, the Nigerian side wasted no time in asserting dominance from the first whistle at Heden Arena in Gothenburg.

Imrana Musa opened scoring in the 5th minute to set the tone for the one-sided affair.
Oladimeji Muiz doubled the lead just six minutes later, giving Beyond Limits a commanding 2–0 advantage by the 11th minute.
There was no letting up as Merveille Akinocho and Saka Yusuf added two quickfire goals in the 20th minute, extending the scoreline to 4–0.
Akinocho wasn’t done yet, netting his second and the team’s fifth in the 24th minute.
Oreoluwa Agbenla capped off a ruthless first half with a sixth goal in the 28th minute.

After the break, Beyond Limits continued from where they left off. Bashir Ghali made it 7–0 just four minutes into the second half before Imrana Musa grabbed his second of the match in the 38th minute.
Oluwatade Oladimeji added the final nail in the coffin with the ninth goal in the 47th minute, sealing a comprehensive win for the Nigerian side.
Beyond Limits’ performance sent a clear message to other contenders, showcasing fluid attacking football and defensive solidity in their tournament debut.
The team will be looking to carry the momentum into their next fixture as they continue their pursuit of Gothia Cup glory.
