Good News For Young Talented Footballers Residing In Lagos Says Augustine Ogee

It was a moment of joy interacting with the acting Chief Operating Officer for Kakawa Sports Investment Limited, a subsidiary of Kakawa Investment, a financial Asset, an instrument investment company Mr. Augustine Ogee. He said in an interview with Sports247

“Our aim is to make an investment in meaningful football by looking for the right collaboration with foreign clubs abroad with high profile scouts to deliver values to the local talent in Nigeria and Africa as a whole”.

He also said they have recently concluded a project last month partnering with Ammonite Football Agency in the Netherlands. The agency was in Nigeria for five days”.

He added that a homegrown tournament was organized with local academies like Collins Edwin SC, Devlat FC, FC Bethel Int’l, Sheba FC Ibadan, Team 360 were in attendance.

“Mr. Ogee the acting chief operating officer also said that the tournament was basically of the highest class meaning they have high profile officials that officiated every match, the media team where on the ground to cover and document everything using the digital avenue to ensure that their partners abroad can be at the comfort of their home and watch some of those matches played live at the legacy pitch in National Stadium Surulere”.

“Ten exceptional talents were selected to play a special team box to box and those talents were streamlined to about five, Ejika John 19 years from FC Bethel, Jacob 18 years from 360 FC, Solomon 18 years, Ejike 19 from FC Bethel and Godwin 18 years from 360 FC. The partnering agency will give them the right to work with clubs in Netherland and Spain, where they will be having exhibition matches and international football trials for those players in different clubs in Spain from Segunda A and Segunda B, in Netherland with clubs like FC Utrecht, will be watching those young talents as they unveil themselves and also play as much as they can to get signed into those teams”.

Mr. Ogee said the football trial is to occur in February 2022 and he believes that with the participation of those talents they have discovered and with the right exposure, it wi be an avenue to get more endorsement from bigger club sides outside Netherland and Spain.

He concluded by saying their desire is to help Africans best talents starting from Lagos Nigeria; and also make sure the challenges faced by most players moving to greener pastures such as climate, culture, people, and environmental barriers are eliminated in other for those talent to have a good footballing, they are also camp for a long period of time giving them the right football education to help their football growth and development.

According to Ogee, their future plan in the next five years is to establish a well-known football brand for African using Nigeria as a central space.
