In a message marking the solemn Christian observance, Adeboye described Good Friday as a powerful reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity and the lessons it holds for leadership, service, and nation-building.

“Good Friday is a moment of deep reflection. It reminds us that true leadership and true impact are built on sacrifice, humility, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of others.”

He noted that the significance of the day goes beyond religious observance, emphasizing its relevance to everyday life and national development.

“The values of sacrifice, love, and selflessness are not just spiritual ideals, they are principles that can transform our society if we choose to live by them.”

Adeboye highlighted the need for Nigerians to come together in unity, especially at a time when collective effort is required to build a stronger and more inclusive nation.

“As a people, we must draw strength from this season and renew our commitment to unity, compassion, and service to one another. This is how we build a nation that works for all.”

The presidential aide also linked the message of Good Friday to youth development and the role of sports in shaping positive values among young people.

“Through sports, we teach discipline, teamwork, and sacrifice, the same values that Good Friday represents. These are the foundations we must continue to instill in our young people as we build the future of our nation.”

He encouraged Nigerians to use the period not only for reflection but also for action, by showing kindness, supporting one another, and contributing positively to their communities.

“Let this season inspire us to be better individuals, to uplift others, and to play our part in building a peaceful and progressive Nigeria.”

Adeboye concluded by wishing Christians across the country a meaningful Good Friday observance, praying that the lessons of the season will inspire hope, unity, and renewed strength for the nation.

“May the spirit of Good Friday guide us toward a better future, grounded in love, sacrifice, and shared humanity.”
