Gift Elkanah Tender Letter to Terminate His Contract with Bayelsa United to Join 3SC

Professional Football Association of Nigeria (PFAN) has intervened, urging the Bayelsa State government to settle the outstanding bonuses and sign-on fees owed to players. The association has tasked the Bayelsa State Caretaker Committee to investigate the matter and address the issue within five days .

“I am writing to formally notify you of my decision to terminate my 2-year contract with Bayelsa United Football Club, effective immediately.”

“The reason for this termination is the lack of clear and specific terms regarding my salaries, bonuses, premiums, and performance-based allowances in the contract signed on.”

“As per the terms of the contract and in accordance with Nigerian labour laws, i am exercising my right to terminate the agreement due to the ambiguity and uncertainty surrounding my remuneration. I believe it is essential to have clear and transparent terms in any contractual agreement, and the absence of such clarity has led to this decision.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the good people of Bayelsa State, my root, for the love and support I received during my time with the club.”

“I appreciate the fans for their enthusiasm and cheers, my teammates for their camaraderie and teamwork, and the management for the opportunity to play for Bayelsa United Football Club. I also appreciate the Bayelsa State Government for their support and patronage.”
