Gianni Infantino Praises Ivory Coast, Hints At World Cup Hosting in 2038

FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his awe and admiration for Ivory Coast following his attendance at the AFCON final.

In his remarks, he described the experience as “incredible,” noting the exceptional organization of the tournament, the impressive infrastructure of the country, and the warm hospitality extended by its people.

Infantino went as far as to compare the quality of hotels to those found in Paris, highlighting the level of luxury and comfort.

Infantino’s observations led him to conclude that Ivory Coast is well-prepared to host major international events, including the 2038 World Cup.

He expressed confidence in the country’s capabilities and affirmed that FIFA is already taking steps to entrust them with this significant responsibility.

“I went to Ivory Coast to attend the AFCON final, it was incredible, everything that my eyes saw for the organization of this AFCON, the very developed infrastructure of this country, the very warm welcome from its inhabitants, the hotels are of such class that you would think we were in PARIS.

According to our analyzes and interpretations, Côte d’Ivoire is ready to host the 2038 World Cup and we are already doing everything we can to entrust them with this task.”

The FIFA President also extended gratitude to Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba for his role in ensuring Infantino’s positive experience in what he described as the “most beautiful country in West Africa.”

Drogba’s influence and contribution to Ivory Coast’s football legacy were acknowledged as instrumental in shaping Infantino’s favourable impression of the nation.
