Ghanaian international Muhammed Kudus has called on young students to prioritize education during an emotional return to his former secondary school in Accra.
The West Ham United and Black Stars winger donated educational materials and shared inspiring words with the students, reminding them that success on the pitch should be matched by intelligence off it.

“Education is key—even if it’s just being able to read and understand your own contract,” Kudus said.
Muhammed Kudus emphasized that while talent can bring fame, education provides the skills to manage success wisely. His message struck a chord with the gathered students and teachers, who welcomed him warmly and expressed gratitude for his return and generosity.
The event formed part of Kudus’ broader commitment to giving back to his community and promoting youth development.
He promised to return again and to support more initiatives aimed at helping young Ghanaians realize their potential in both academics and sports.
Teachers at the school lauded Kudus’ actions, describing him as a role model who shows that one can pursue both education and sports excellence.
“Many of our students look up to footballers, and to have one come back and speak about the importance of education is something we deeply appreciate,” a school official said.
The visit ended with a symbolic football session on the school’s pitch and a pledge from Kudus to remain active in supporting education across Ghana.
His story continues to inspire a new generation—not just to dream of football glory, but to build solid foundations for life after the final whistle.
Kudus’ advocacy echoes a growing sentiment across Africa: that empowering young athletes with education is just as important as nurturing their talent.
