Gernot Rohr wants Tyronne Ebuehi in Eagles AFCON squad

Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr is still very confident on the chances of Benfica right full back Tyronne Ebuehi making the AFCON squad despite the fact that he is yet to play a game this season.

Ebuehi made a high profile transfer from Dutch side ADO Den Haag to the Portuguese side but a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament picked up in pre season has kept him out of the team.

However, Ebuehi is back doing ball work with the rest of his teammates at Benfica.

Rohr who revealed to Sports247 of his plans to send a fitness trainer to assess and help the 23 year old get back to his best says a decision on his inclusion in the squad for the AFCON in June won’t be taken in a hurry.

According to Rohr, the Dutch-Nigerian full back will be assessed for possible inclusion in the squad for the tournament before the end of the season, where he is expected to take part in at least one of the remaining matches of the Portuguese side.
