Naze Millionaires’ forward, George Jenom, expressed his joy at returning to the starting lineup and commended his teammates following their first victory in the ongoing 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
George Jenom, who made his way back into the starting lineup for the first time this season, played a key role as Heartland FC secured a vital 1-0 win against Bendel Insurance FC.

Before the appointment of the new manager, Kennedy Boboye, Jenom, a former Gendre Marie FC talisman, had been sidelined for nine weeks, featuring only as a substitute in a previous match against Plateau United.
His return to the starting lineup against Bendel Insurance showcased his resilience and determination.

Having faced a challenging period of criticism and disappointing results, Heartland FC managed to secure a crucial victory, and Jenom was quick to acknowledge the collective effort of his teammates.

“It is a special feeling for me to be involved in the team again, and on a special day like this, I’m back and better,” Jenom remarked. “I appreciate my teammates for the great fighting spirit we showed yesterday.”
Despite Heartland FC currently occupying the 19th position in the league standings, Jenom remains optimistic about the team’s prospects for improvement.
He emphasized the need for discipline, focus, and hard work as essential elements to propel the team up the table.
“Though we’ve been unlucky in some of the matches played, I believe that we’ll move up soon.
We just need to stay disciplined, focused, do a lot of hard work, and we’ll be better,” concluded Jenom, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to turn the season around.
